Overview This is a new 2027 Peterbilt Model 567 Conventional day cab, spec'd as a tri-axle dump truck with a 235" wheelbase and an 80,000-lb GVWR. The chassis combines a Cummins X15 Performance Series engine, an Allison 4500 RDS-P Rugged Duty Series automatic, tandem Dana Spicer drive axles, and a Hendrickson self-steering pusher. The upfit is a Heritage HA-SS 17' x 60" x 68" smooth-side dump body with a Binotto telescopic hoist and an Aero electric flip tarp system. The cab and hood are finished in Black Axalta two-stage metallic/pearl paint. Engine & Drivetrain The Cummins X15 Performance Series engine carries a factory rating of 565@1900, governed at 1900, and 1850@1000. It is a model year 2026 engine built to 2024 emissions standards, and it is CARB emission compliant with CARB and EPA engine idling compliance. The powertrain is optimized for performance in vocational applications and heavy GCWR. Typical operating speed is 68 MPH, and the maximum cruise control speed is 68 MPH. A Jacobs compression brake is controlled from the right-hand column. The engine idle shutdown timer is set at 5 minutes, with an ambient temperature overrule. The engine uses EMUX electronics architecture, and a 12-pin remote PTO/throttle provision sits in the engine bay. Maximum PTO engine speed is 1400. Engine equipment includes a PACCAR 160-amp brushed alternator, PACCAR premium starter, and 110-120V immersion-type block heater. Power comes from three PACCAR premium 12V dual-purpose batteries rated at 2190 CCA, with a low voltage disconnect system and a Kissling 300A cab power disconnect switch mounted on the battery box. The cooling system is high efficiency, with a 2-speed fan clutch for frequent start/stops and an 18.7 CFM air compressor. Air intake runs through dual self-cleaning pre-cleaners under the hood and a firewall-mounted air cleaner. The fuel system includes a PACCAR extended-service-interval fuel/water separator, fuel heat for the fuel filter, and a fuel cooler. The exhaust is a dual SOC setup, with a left-hand stack for looks and the DPF/SCR mounted right-hand under cab in a single module. It has chrome exhaust pipes and 36" chrome standpipes with clear coat and curved tips, plus a DPF regeneration switch. The Allison 4500 RDS-P Gen 6 Rugged Duty Series transmission runs in a 6-speed configuration with a dash-mounted push-button shifter and a TC-571 torque converter. It uses Allison Primary Shift Schedule 1, Package 223, and Neutral at Stop, and FuelSense is not selected. The driveline is a Spicer SPL170 HD-XL main driveline with one midship bearing and an SPL170 XL interaxle driveline. A single-acting electric-over-hydraulic PTO control is mounted on the dash. Chassis & Axles The frame is built from 10-3/4" steel rails to 354" with 3/8" rail thickness and a full steel inner liner. It has HD iron front and rear spring brackets, aluminum frame rail crossmembers, and a square end of frame for a body-builder-installed crossmember. Engineering ratings are 20,000 lbs GAWR front, 20,000 lbs on the first intermediate axle, 23,000 lbs on the second intermediate axle, and 23,000 lbs on the rear, for an 80,000-lb GVWR and 80,000-lb GCW. Chassis dimensions are a 235" wheelbase, 90.1" front axle to back of cab, 144.9" cab to axle, and 204.9" cab to end of frame. Up front is a PACCAR FX-20 wide-track steer axle rated at 20,000 lbs with a 4" drop. It uses TRW THP60 dual-gear power steering with a frame-mounted reservoir and cooler, PHP10 iron Preset+ hubs, greasable front spring pins, and Bendix ADB22X air disc brakes with pad dust shields. The rear axles are Dana Spicer D46-172 tandems rated at 46,000 lbs with a 4.30 ratio. They have heavy-wall housings, a drive axle lube pump, and synthetic lubricant in all axles. The tandem diff locks have a speed interlock and full-lock control from a separate dash switch. The rears also use Bendix ADB22X air disc brakes. The Hendrickson EXS20 self-steering pusher axle is rated at 20,000 lbs and comes with its own air tank. It sits at 50" spacing from the centerline of the forward drive axle and has PHP10 iron Preset Plus hubs and rotors with air disc brakes. The lift axle regulator is mounted on a crossmember, with the switch and gauge in the dash, and the axle stows higher when lifted to maximize ground clearance. Braking and safety equipment includes 6S6M ABS, Bendix Smart ATC traction control, an SBM valve, a pneumatic park brake, and a tire pressure monitoring system. The air system has a Bendix AD-HF EP air dryer with heater, coalescing filter and extended purge, plus nylon chassis hose and aluminum air tanks. A self-returning, dash-mounted brake hand valve is included. Body connections sit 5' back of cab, and a 7-way socket at the end of frame has 4' of additional lines, coiled and strapped. The rear mudflaps and hangers are omitted. Suspension The front suspension uses 20,000-lb taper leaf springs with Tenneco shocks and 80 mm spacer blocks. The rear is a Peterbilt Air Trac rated at 46,000 lbs with 52" axle spacing, air springs with internal bumpers, and a single leveling valve on the forward drive axle. A dash-mounted dump switch with indicator light controls the suspension. The cab also rides on air suspension. Cab & Interior The cab is a 121" BBC aluminum day cab with a Metton hood, SFFA front axle position, and a stainless steel crown and grille with tilt assist. It includes a thermal insulation package, a bright-finish side-of-hood air intake bezel, 2.25" fender lips, a stainless steel outside sunvisor, and a removable bugscreen behind the grille. The windshield is one-piece curved, the rear window is a one-piece fixed glass pane, and all windows have dark tint. Inside is the Prestige interior in Sterling Gray. The driver gets a premium-level Peterbilt LX seat with air ride, a high back, leather upholstery, and armrests on both sides. The passenger gets a high-back Peterbilt ST seat in Mordura, with a toolbox and tow hook holders underneath. Both seats are black. The tilt/telescope steering column carries a leather-wrapped premium multifunction wheel with the Peterbilt logo and audio and cruise controls. Standard comforts include power door locks, power windows, a combination fresh air heater and A/C, intermittent electric wipers, self-canceling turn signals, and a rear-wall map pocket. For technology and communications, the truck has a 7" infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and a 4-speaker midlevel audio package. It also has a Cobra 29 CB radio mounted in the header with a low-mount cowl antenna, global telematics hardware, and a SmartLinq RD 5-year subscription. The 15" digital cluster shows front and rear drive axle oil temperatures, engine oil temperature, and transmission oil temperature. It also shows air filter restriction, brake application pressure, two suspension air pressure gauges, and pusher axle pressure. Engine hours, engine PTO hours, turbo boost, and engine percent torque are displayed as well. An additional dash switch comes pre-wired behind the dash. Exterior equipment includes bright-finish Peterbilt aero mirrors that are motorized and heated with integrated convex glass, plus a look-down mirror over the passenger door. There is an air horn under the cab and a textured NFPA-compliant cab entry grab handle. A fire extinguisher, a triangle reflector kit, and a 107 dB backup alarm are included. Lighting includes projector headlights with fender-mounted turn signals, five aero LED marker lights, and LED stop/turn/tail/backup lights on brackets at the end of frame. There are two flush-mounted LED load lights, plus switches and wiring for auxiliary lighting, a beacon or strobe, and roof-line load lights. Body & Equipment The upfit is a Heritage HA-SS 17' x 60" x 68" smooth-side dump body with a Binotto 7-4-156 telescopic hoist and an Aero electric flip tarp system. On the chassis, fuel is carried in a single polished 26" aluminum 110-gallon tank, left-hand under cab, with a non-slip step and polished straps. The 24-gallon DEF tank is mounted left-hand back of cab with a polished stainless steel cover. A polished aluminum space-saver battery box sits right-hand back of cab with side access, and there is an aluminum non-slip aftertreatment entry step right-hand under cab. The polished aluminum bumper is deep tapered and set forward. The cab and hood are painted Black (L2130EY) in Axalta two-stage metallic/pearl, and the frame is Black (L0001EA).
