I am offering my certified domestic US-market 1982 Yanmar 226D showing a mere 1,375 verified, original hours. I am the second owner, having purchased it in 1992 and kept it strictly inside my tractor barn storage for the past 34 years. The first 10 years of its life was on a farm in Fife, WA primarily doing tilling work. It is time to pass the torch of this legendary machine to a true collector. This is a Ferrari GT of tractors, there is no electronics, no emissions, no BS, all components are repairable, it represents the finest of Japanese engineering and the reason Deere selected Yanmar to make its 650/750/850/950/1050 series and future series. The Mechanicals & Electrical: • Engine/Trans: Bulletproof 3-cylinder diesel 3T7 starts instantly. The Powershift transmission shifts flawlessly. 9 speed forward 3 reverse. Clutch is tight with no drag. • Electrical: 100% factory-original wiring harness. Headlights, turn signals, flashers, and the original factory horn all work. • The 3-point hydraulics are completely tight with zero bleed-down or drift over time. Fuel sight glass and primary air filter and fuel bowel are crystal clear. • All original factory warning labels remain in place across the body panels except the primary air filter label. • Tires: Riding on its original, Japan-made Bridgestone R1 ag tires. Thanks to 34 years of strict UV-free indoor barn storage, the vintage rubber compound has no dry rot or weather cracking. They are not new, but they are original. • Chassis Protection: Includes the highly elusive, factory-original rear PTO safety shield. Unlike most vintage shields that were lost decades ago, this unit remains unbent and carries its original factory-installed English safety warning sticker completely intact and legible • Full annual service just completed.
