John Deere 1 Series Compact Utility Tractors Get 2027 Redesign With Improved Comfort & Serviceability

John Deere recently unveiled its redesigned 1 Series Compact Utility Tractors for the 2027 model year. The upgraded tractor line, which includes the 21.5-horsepower (16-kilowatt) 1E 23, 23.2-HP (17.3-kW) IM 25, and 23.2-HP IR 25 models, is designed for landscaping work, snow removal, and property maintenance. Ergonomic improvements, enhanced attachment readiness, and a new naming and numbering system are among the changes for 2027.

"With the rollout of our model year 2027 compact utility tractors, we focused on what property owners told us they needed most, including greater comfort, easier operation, and true year-round capability," says Mark Davey, marketing manager, John Deere. "By offering a factory-installed HVAC cab and improved operator conveniences, we're giving customers a smarter, more versatile machine that fits the ways they actually work."

Mini Multitasker

The versatile 1 Series can handle leveling, loading, digging projects, and more. The redesigned fender console improves ergonomics for more comfortable operation. With a wheelbase of 57.1 inches (1,450 millimeters) on the 1E 23 and 1M 25 and 63 in. (1,600 mm) on the 1R 25, the 1 Series tractors can operate in tight spaces.

The new series also has features that expand implement compatibility for performing a wider range of tasks. The factory-installed third function and the single-point hydraulic connector option make it easier to remove the loader, and the mid-lift-ready option enables the use of mower decks. Available implement options include pallet forks, a grapple, a bucket, a box blade, a snowblower, a rotary cutter, and much more.

A one-piece hood with a 77-degree opening allows easier access for maintenance. The 1M and 1R models come standard with LED headlights. The 1R also has standard front LED work lights. All models have the option to add front and rear LED work lights.

The 1M 25 and the 1R 25 can be equipped with an optional factory-installed HVAC cab for all-weather use. Both models also have standard tilt steering for comfortable control and a new digital fuel gauge.
