Bobcat Launches New ZT5000 Zero-Turn Mower For Professional-Grade Lawn Care
Bobcat recently announced the expansion of its zero-turn lawn mower lineup with the new ZT5000, which the company describes as a “turf-taming machine” built for precision over challenging terrain. Designed to deliver a professional-grade cut, the ZT5000 has Hydro-Gear ZT-3800 hydrostatic transaxles for precise control. The ZT5000 will be available to North American customers in early 2024.
ZT5000 Specs & Features
The zero-turn mower is powered by a 23.5-horsepower (17.5-kilowatt) Kawasaki engine and can move at ground speeds up to 11 mph. It is available with either a 52- or 61-inch (132- or 155-centimeter) cutting deck. The ZT5000 has an AirFX cutting system that uses a deep-deck design and air-gap baffles to lift grass up to the cutting blade for a professional-quality finish. Steel-fabricated spindles make the mower durable enough to tackle challenging jobs.
The large, 24-in. (61-cm) tires provide a smooth ride and plenty of ground clearance with minimal ground disturbance. With dual fuel tanks, the ZT5000 has a capacity of 7.8 gallons (29.5 liters) for increased mowing time with fewer breaks for refueling. A grass collection system, laser-edge blades, a grass-striping kit, a mulching kit, and a light kit are available as options to meet a variety of operators’ needs.
“Everything about the Bobcat ZT5000 is designed to cover more turf area at productive speeds while leaving behind a high-quality cut,” says Bobcat Senior Product Manager Ron Scheffler. “Features throughout the ZT5000 support increased mowing productivity, including the dual fuel tanks, tool-free deck access for quick-and-easy cleaning, and the comfortable operator’s station with a high-back suspension seat and ergonomic controls.”
