Ferris Becomes NHLA Supporting Member
Commercial mower manufacturer Ferris recently became a supporting member of the NHLA (National Hispanic Landscape Alliance), which “works to inform, encourage, and support the growth of Hispanics as landscape industry professionals and leaders.” Ferris is a Milwaukee-based brand of Briggs & Stratton and produces zero-turn, stand-on, walk-behind, and front-mount commercial mowers and attachments and accessories.
Driving Innovation Together
Founded in 2011, the NHLA is a nationwide “learning and sharing community” that includes hundreds of landscape services companies, college students entering the profession, industry manufacturers, and others. The NHLA provides a voice for 500,000-plus U.S. Hispanic landscaping professionals on issues such as “environmentally responsible landscape practices.”
Noting that Hispanic-Americans make up a large percentage of the landscaping industry’s workforce and Hispanic leaders and professionals are growing in numbers, Erik Memmo, Ferris senior director of sales, says his company looks forward to working with the NHLA on the advancement of Hispanic-American landscape professionals. “We believe that sharing information, learning from each other, and driving innovation are fundamentals that will strengthen and support our mutual interests,” he says.
Seeking Greater Success
NHLA Executive Director Ralph Egües welcomes Ferris to the organization, noting that Ferris “makes an important contribution to those seeking greater success as landscape professionals.” Egües adds, “Ferris is keenly interested in fostering the success of its customers by facilitating and promoting learning.”
You will find a large selection of new and used Ferris mowers for sale every day on TractorHouse.com, including zero-turn, stand-on, and walk-behind models.
