30-Second Oil & Filter Change Possible On New John Deere Lawn Tractors

John Deere’s new Easy Change system does away with the messy, time-consuming job of draining engine oil. Instead, you’ll simple twist on a new Easy Change cartridge prefilled with 0.8 quarts (0.76 liters) of oil, and this cartridge also includes a new oil filter to remove captured contaminants. Anyone Can Change Oil With The New System

“Our main priority is to provide an easy and hassle-free experience for owners to maintain their lawn tractors,” said Kirk Eisenbeis, product marketing manager for John Deere, in a news release. "The ability to change oil easily, quickly, and without a mess is really appealing to people who don't have traditional oil change experience.”

Which Models Support Easy Change?

John Deere introduced the Easy Change system along with its 2018 100 Series lawn tractors. The lineup includes E120, E130, E150, E160, E170, and E180 models. The flagship E180 features a 25 horsepower (18.6 kilowatt) engine and a top speed of 5.5m/h (8.9kw/h).
